Academy TeamWhyteleafe FC's Academy side compete in the Conference Youth Alliance. Managed by Ken Fisher the set up offers and demands a high standard of football allied with an education aiming for BTEC qualification.
All classroom work (supplied by SCL) is undertaken on the premises of Whyteleafe FC and the team plays on Wednesday afternoons kick off normally at 2pm. See below for greater detail.

What is The Football Academy?
The Football Academy is a 2-year, full-time Education and Football Development programme delivered in partnership with Professional and Non-League Football Clubs. Open to talented footballers aged between 16–18 years, the Academy Programme is a must for any football enthusiast. A playing trial will be required as places will be offered based on playing ability.
All academy players will receive daily training involving individual and team coaching from highly Qualified FA coaches affiliated to the football club.
Players will receive guidance on individual football fitness, nutritional advice and a regular appraisal to monitor each player’s development both on and off the pitch. Players will have the opportunity to represent the football club through the Academy, Youth, College or Reserve Team, with the aim to progress into the first team or higher.
What Education Programme will I study?
Over the 2-year duration, players will study a variety of National Recognised Qualifications within the subject of Sport, Coaching & Fitness. Players will study the Diploma in Sport, delivered at Level 2 and 3 standard (A-Level equivalence), FA Coaching Qualifications together with core skills in Maths and English. Successful completion of the educational programme will enable players to follow pathways into Higher Education at selected Universities and employment opportunities within the Sport and leisure industry, including coaching placements and playing scholarships in America.
Who will deliver the Education?
The club have linked with SCL, a Further Education and Work Based Training Provider, who will be responsible for the management and delivery of the educational element of the Academy. SCL currently work in partnership with many Sixth Form Schools, Further Education Colleges and Football Academies in the South of England and have over 10 years of experience successfully delivering vocational and academic sports-based qualifications.
The SCL team consist of highly qualified and experienced Teachers, Assessors, Verifiers and FA Coach Educators.
What are the Costs?
Both the Football and Educational element of the Academy is fully funded and therefore there is no cost to join the programme. There will be a subsidised cost for purchasing training kit at the start of the season. Further details will be provided upon the player’s acceptance into the Football Academy.
