Whyteleafe continue their miserable run with another defeat, this time to Godalming. Leafe made a number of changes due to injuries but the end result was all too familiar.

Godalming started the brighter and played some nice football. Brett Cooper made a good run down the right, crossing to Jon Palmer on the left. His volley across the face of goal found Ben Edwards in front of goal but his effort went just over the bar.

Leafe's first chance came in the 21st minute. A free kick from Ashley Snadden was punched out by Jake Somerville to the edge of the box where Karl Douglin chipped the ball towards goal but Somerville caught it under the bar. A minute later Palmer was inches away from converting a Scott Harris cross. In the 32nd minute Josh Pearson made a good run, shooting from 20 yards but straight at Paul Smith.

Godalming took the lead in the 34th minute. A long throw from Guy Hollis was allowed to bounce into the six yard box where Adam Foulser was on hand to head home.

Stephane Gnamore went close for Leafe in the 40th minute when hew beat two defenders but shot wide of the target.

Godalming started the second half well, Harris forcing a save from Smith after just 20 seconds of the half. Leafe had a good claim for a penalty in the 53rd minute when Douglin sent Jay Garrick clear. He was brought down on the edge of the box but the referee waved play on Douglin regained possession and saw his shot blocked.

The visitors extended their lead in the 55th minute, Pearson making a good run at the Leafe goal before finding Dan Read in the box who made no mistake from close range. Two minutes later Gnamore made a good run, finding Douglin on the edge of the box but his shot was straight at Somerville.

Garrick was brought down on the edge of the box after 63 minutes. Snadden took the kick, finding Gnamore whose shot was blocked. Leafe did improve in the closing stages and gave themselves a chance of a point when they pulled one back in the 80th minute. A fine cross from Fabian Batchelor found Danny Dudley at the far post and he scored at the back post from close range.

Batchelor had a shot saved in the 83rd minute and Fred Fleming headed over from a Snadden corner in stoppage time but the visitors held on for the three points.
