FA Competitions draws season 2017/18

The draws have been made for the early stages of the major FA competitions for season 2017/18.


Whyteleafe will entertain either Rochester United or Erith Town in the Preliminary Round, the two sides playing one another in the Extra Preliminary on Saturday 5th August.  Our Preliminary Round match will take place at Church Road on Saturday 19 August kicking off at 3pm.

We have met both these teams on several occasions during our two year spell in the Kent League/SCEFL.

Rochester United finished their SCEFL Premier Division campaign in 14th place and exited the FA Cup at the Preliminary Round stage beaten after a replay at home to Eastbourne United Assn.

Erith Town, once a force in the Kent League have declined of late and finished their season in 18th spot. They were also defeated at the Preliminary Round stage of last years FA Cup losing at Ryman League Ramsgate but only by a single goal to nil. They had defeated Sutton Common Rovers 2-0 at Gander Green Lane after a 2-2 draw at home in the Extra Preliminary Round.


Whyteleafe enter this competition at the Preliminary Round on Saturday 7 October and have been drawn to play against Haringey Borough of the Bostik North Division. They finished fifth in the table last season and lost in the play off semi final 4-5 at Maldon & Tiptree in front of a crowd of 412.

Borough's Trophy campaign finished at the Preliminary Round stage last season as they lost 1-2 at home to Hythe Town.

Haringey Borough play their home matches at Coles Park in White Hart Lane, Tottenham - just a mile and half from Tottenham Hotspur's ground

The winners of the Preliminary Round match, which takes place on Saturday 8 October, with have an away trip to Bostik Premier Division side Harrow Borough.


Darren Kenny's new Bostik League Youth team have their first match in the FA Youth Cup on Wednesday 6th September when they entertain Balham in the Preliminary Round. A win would see the team into the 1st Qualifying Round which would be a home tie against Reigate-based South Park on Wednesday 20 September.
