Daniel and Jahmal commit for 2017-18Two of Whyteleafe's star players of 2016-17 have committed to Church Road by signing contracts with the club for 2017-18.
Daniel Ajakaiye has been scoring goals for fun since signing from Bromley earlier in the season and end the season as top scorer. Daniel made the number 9 shirt his own after the dreadful injury to Andrew Mensah and scored on his debut in our 1-0 victory at Greenwich Borough. Since then he made 24 appearances and scored 14 goals. At 19 that goal rate will surely increase as he gets more experience under his belt but even that goal rate would have earned him 32 goals had he played all season.
Also signing is central defender Jahmal Howlett-Mundle who made his debut for the club in March having signed from Dover Athletic having started his career as a youngster with Crystal Palace. He gained valuable experience in Scotland playing for Hearts and Montrose before moving back south and playing with Dovers.
Whyteleafe can look forward toa very exciting season with hot prospects like Daniel and Jahmal committing to the club.
