New Walking Football Starts Weds 6th MarchWalking Football, it’s exactly what it sounds like, a standard game of football where players walk instead of run. The game is designed to help people get fit or maintain an active lifestyle no matter what their age and fitness, as well as support people getting back into football if they have given it up due to age or injury. Previous walking football sessions that we have run have seen many benefits by participating in this new format of the game, including reducing lower heart rates, blood pressure, weight loss and better mobility.
And it’s not just health benefits; Walking Football also offers social benefits by meeting new people and visiting new places through the game. We are looking for Over 50s to join our brand-new Walking Football session every Wednesday morning where our qualified UEFA coach will take the warm up and referee your game. All equipment will be provided by the club. Our new session will begin on Wednesday 6th March and will run from week to week. It is £5 per session which includes your football hour and includes tea & coffee in the boardroom where you can watch Sky TV as well as keeping up to date with the news with newspapers available.
Sessions: Every Wednesday morning, 10:00am-11:00am, Whyteleafe Football Club, Church Road, Surrey, CR3 0AR.
